Meet The People Who Make it Happen: Michael Zikorus
Michael spent over 30 years designing and re-designing as well as constructing golf courses in the Northeast including all field engineering. In addition, he owned apartment houses and rental homes.

Michael has been working at SGVBG since August 2016. His days begin with picking up all fallen limbs and debris around the Garden. Mulching and pruning of gardens palms and flora, weeding, and cleaning areas are ongoing all the time.
Once per week 20 individual gardens are trimmed around, including rock structures and ruins as well. Seven and a 1/2 acres of turf surrounding the gardens and roadways are mowed weekly. Ongoing preventive maintenance on equipment is completed as well. Michael assists with set up and break down of tables, chairs, and tents for events as needed. Plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry maintenance is ongoing as well.
“I pride myself on keeping the grounds as beautiful as I can. I love the garden and all it represents! I love to construct and build.”
Michael’s talents and energy provide the Garden with talents from land maintenance to master carpentry and everything in between and we wish we could clone him!
